A Vistit to Grandma's

The boys spent a couple of days with Grandma and Grandpa Irwin while I had to work this week. Was glad to go and pick them up and bring them back home with us!

Little Chefs

Ryan and I helped supervise 31 "Little Chefs" in the afterschool program. On the Menu: Veggie Skewers, Fruit Pizza and Turkey Wraps.

Cottage Season

It feels so great to be back at the lake for cottage season. As you can see from this smile the boys are feeling the same way! Walking and deck building was all the agenda called for.

Liquor CABINET

Apparently we need to have company over to help us rid of some of our stock......OR.....open a store of our own! This is insane!!!!

Why not, Minot?

In preparation for our Disney World trip we made a quick trip to Minot to grab some last minute items. Captain America, however, was not on the list?!?!?

The boys had enough shopping early on. Thanks goodness for the double "stroller" so that I could power through my list in silence :)

Then we were all rewarded with a swim in the ater park at our hotel. Grandpa got attacked by Graidan and his new water gun.....

Familly Night

I so very much enjoy these evenings with Graidan's classmates and their families. Once a month we are invited to Family Night at the school and get to have supper, play games, do a craft, and just spend time together. I so appreciate all of the planning that goes into those nights!

Back to the City

After just arriving hom elast night from our Alberta trip, we had to jump back in the vehicle to head into the city for doctor's appointments today. Can't go by without a quicks stop at Tim's for a steeped tea!

This little room was the kid's area at Grandma's doctor's appointment. Such a great idea and so appreciated by moms like me.

Go fly a Kite!

On our way home from our Easter weekend away we made a quick stop at Costco and the boys picked up a new kite each. It worked out ideally, as I was unpacking and getting laundry started, I sent Ryan and the boys out to "Go Fly a Kite"!

Easter Sunday 2012

Our Easter weekend was spent at Ryan's brother's house in Alberta with the whole Irwin clan. I love any holiday that we can get together with our family as we don't seem to do it enought throughout the year unless there is an excuse.

Gorgeous Yard

We spent the Easter weekend with Ryan's brother and family at his new house. His yard was recently landscaped and it fit him to a tee.

The boys put in a fairly long shift today building these 2 sheds for the yard.

And the crowning item in the yard is the hot tub!

Egg Coloring

My niece, Brooke, and I took advantage of all of the rest of the gang being out of the house and got to coloring some Easter eggs.

Carlyle Minor Hockey Awards Banquet

Tonight we attended the Carlyle Minor Hockey awards banquet. The initiation team is just too cute as they go up on stage to accept their trophies. In this age group, rather than giving out Most Dedicated, Most Improved, etc and chance someone getting hurt, every child is named to an award specifically tailored to them.

On the way home from the awards the boys were asking more questions about what their trophies meant. I told them Hudson must ask too many questions and Graidan is pushy.....to be blunt :) Hahaha.

Girls Birthday Supper

We celebrated our friends birthday with a supper out tonight. It was a couple of days early as she was leaving for Vegas for her birthday weekend. Happy Birthday Rianna!

IMPACT-ful Evening

Graidan, Ryan and I got invited to the IMPACT night tonight where kids can go and do activities with their parents that will help them develop skills and ready them for Kindergarten. In doing so there are stations that you go around to to complete all of the given activities on their Passports to Learning. Also, at each station the child is given a prize that pertains to the activity that they completed. Graidan came home with quite a sack full of goodies as well as a pretty cool little fish that he made :)

A Little Birdie......

Hudson brought this nead little craft home from school today and just had to show it off. I am impressed!

Air intake Make Over

I have never been a fan of this air intake register covers that the builder put on our house since day 1, and when Hudson slipped while turning the corner going into his room and put his whole foot through it I wanted to change them out more than ever. It took alot of searching, as apparently these were an odd size, but we finally found a maple cover online and ordered it up. Ahhhhh, now that's better!
